Depth of Field is a post-processing effect that simulates the focus properties of a cameraA component which creates an image of a particular viewpoint in your scene. The output is either drawn to the screen or captured as a texture. More info
See in Glossary lens. A real-world camera can only focus sharply on an object at a specific distance; objects nearer or farther from the camera will appear slightly out of focus. The blurring gives a visual cue about an object’s distance and produces a pleasing visual effect, known as Bokeh in the photography industry.
For further information on how to use Depth of Field in Unity, refer to the Depth of Field documentation in the Post ProcessingA process that improves product visuals by applying filters and effects before the image appears on screen. You can use post-processing effects to simulate physical camera and film properties, for example Bloom and Depth of Field. More info
