Before starting out with the Unity Editor, you might want to familiarize yourself with the platforms that you can create your projects in. Unity supports most of the leading desktop, web, and mobile platforms as follows:

WebGLA JavaScript API that renders 2D and 3D graphics in a web browser. The Unity WebGL build option allows Unity to publish content as JavaScript programs which use HTML5 technologies and the WebGL rendering API to run Unity content in a web browser. More info See in Glossary |

Note: If you are a developer with access to Closed platformsIncludes platforms that require confidentiality and legal agreements with the platform provider for using their developer tools and hardware. These platforms aren’t open to development unless you have an established relationship with the provider. For example PlayStation®, Game Core for Xbox®, and Nintendo®.
