Manage the Inspector window

Open an Inspector window

To open an Inspector, do one of the following:

  • To open the Inspector as a new window, from the main menu, select Window > General > Inspector.
  • To add an Inspector tab to any window, from the window’s More Items menu (⋮), select Add Tab > Inspector.

You can open as many Inspector windows as you want, and reposition, dock, and resize them.

The Inspector window shows the properties of the item you select in the Hierarchy window, SceneA Scene contains the environments and menus of your game. Think of each unique Scene file as a unique level. In each Scene, you place your environments, obstacles, and decorations, essentially designing and building your game in pieces. More info

Toggle Debug Mode

By default, the Inspector window shows the editable properties in each component. In Debug Mode, the Inspector also shows the item’s private properties.

To toggle Debug Mode, from the Inspector window’s More menu (⋮), select Debug or Normal.
